Hello folks,
I am a total newbie to this forum, so excuse me if there are any faux pas(es?). I have a Steinberger Spirit GT-Pro project guitar (yes, from musicyo), with stock EMG Selects. P/up config is H-S-H. I have purchased an SD Pearly Gates for the bridge, SD cool rails for the middle p/up and a GFS slightly overwound PAF for the bridge (ebay item # 7337581237). Should I pay a local custom shop (Action Music) $75 for changing (swapping out) the p/ups or should I try to do this myself?
Oh, this custom shop is owned by a guy who said that the replacement p/ups that I originally bought Custom Shop Parts, aren't any good because of the price. But Custom Shop Parts has good write-ups from h-c (http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data2/Custom_Shop_Parts/).
1) Should I install the p-ups myself? Where do I get wiring diagrams?
2) If I choose to have the job done professionally, should I use Action Music to perform the modification?
Thanks and sorry (if this is a stupid newbie question) :duh: ,
