anyone have any experience with this?
its a 25w stomp box amp. looks neat.
traynor claims its loud enough through a cab for band practice or a small gig
i'd like to know if that is true

Re: traynor quarter horse

welcome to the forum!

the volume will depend on the cab you use with it. a 8ohm 1x12 with a eminence red fang would probably be ok, as would an 8ohm 2x12 with vintage 30's. ive never even seen the thing but its 25w @8ohms. if you have a very efficient cab it should be fine but someone who has tried it will need to confirm that

I've got a Marshall 1960 lead cab with the slant

Re: traynor quarter horse

old or new? the old ones are 16 ohms, the newer ones have two jacks and a switch so you can run them at 4 ohms (not safe with this amp) 16 ohms or in stereo with each side at 8 ohms. at 16 ohms this amp puts out 15w, at 8 ohms 25w. my suggestion is to try it out in the store and crank it up

Re: traynor quarter horse

8 ohms is what ya want although its unusual for a marshall 4x12 to be 8 ohms unless its had speakers swapped
