Traynor YCV20 w/ Reverend Alltone 1250 and JJ's - $340 shipped

The amp is in excellent condition. Aside from some scrathces on the face plate, there don't appear to be any other dings or anything. The amp has an upgraded Reverend Alltone 1250 speaker (versus the crappy stock Celestion). It also has a brand new set of JJ's (from Eurotubes). The amp sounds fantastic with the new JJ's. The speaker also makes a world of a difference from the stock Celestion.

These amps have been discontinued and have been climbing in value as a result. In addition, the Alltone's have also been discontinued and are easily going for over $100. Not only is this a great sounding amp, but it's also a decent investment.

I'm also in Ontario and have been looking at this amp with interest. Possibly a bidding war....just kidding.

Likely be our luck that the amp is located in southern Texas...just a few yards from the Mexican border.

The amp is located in WI, so it'd have to cross the Canadian border. I'd be willing to ship to Cananda, but the cost of shipping would likely increase a bit to compensate for any differences. If you guys are really interested, I can get some quotes on shipping prices to figure out a difference that I'd add.

Please PM or Email me if you're interested as I check this thread infrequently.

Ok, guys. I did some quoting at Fedex and to Toronto, Ontario, I get a shipping quote of $45 (USD). On average, within the US it'd be about $25. So to ship to Ontario (I assume it's about the same within Ontario), it'd be an extra $20. So to ship within Ontario, it'd be $370 shipped via Fedex.

I could also ship via USPS, but it appears to be around $65 (so an extra $40 to Canada) and would 4-10 days (rather than 3). It also would not have tracking, I don't think...Anyway, I suspect that shipping quote is on the high side as USPS only allows you to get quotes for ALL of Canada. Since Ontario is a HECK of a lot closer than, say, British Columbia, I have to imagine that there is a price difference. Thus, I imagine that the price from WI to ON is less than $65. Thus, I can work out a shipping price wth you. Then if my price ends up too high, I can refund the difference.

I don't know much about international shipping and customs and whatnot, but I've been told that items manufactuered within North America do not have customs fees applied to them. Since this amp was made in Canada, I assume you won't be charged any such fees (I'd sure hope not as it's made in your guys' country after all).

Let me know if you guys are interested.

You won't be charged customs fees (consistently...but it can happen) but sometimes they hit you for brokerage fees (again ...not always) and the most popular recently is to charge taxes...only PST I think (I got hit for the last 2 purchases from the USA)

One thing that does help, is for the seller to put "USED ....." on the small green slip that is required (this is for USPS...not sure about Fedex) and if the seller lists the value as less than the actual sale price, this is a plus also. Businesses are not allowed to do this, logically.

SpHj ...Good luck with convincing your GF...Valentine's Day is coming soon...that could be made to work to your advantage......with some cleverly designed approaches.

I didn't think that USPS charged brokerage fees (just Fedex). Do they?

Also, I'm open to trades. Let me know what you've got.

I was going to suggest this one to you in your thread. I am tempted to get this one myself. My YCV40 is louder than I need most of the time. If I remember correctly, you said you wanted a 50 watt tube amp. I think you will be surprised how loud this 15 watt amp is - and how good it sounds!

Jump on it before I do!

Re: Traynor YCV20 (all-tube, 15 watts, 2 channels, 12", etc.)

Yeah...this 15 watt monster is LOUD! I think people are really surpised to find out there isn't a whole lot of volume difference between...say...a 15 watt amp and a 50 watt amp. When you really think about it, a 100 watt amp is only twice as loud as a 10 watt amp. So if you're comparing a 15 watter to a 100 watter, you're see about a reduction in volume by perhaps half.

Anyway, I'll probably throw this amp up on ebay this weekend if it does not sell by then.

I'll go for it as soon as I get my Laney sold, if it's still around.

Re: Traynor YCV20 (all-tube, 15 watts, 2 channels, 12", etc.)

unless you posted it on another ebay, i don't believe that. I've been checking for it every day, couple times a day.
