treble bleed on Alnico II Pro advise

Hello guys,

I want to do a treble bleed mod on my Gibson LP, I have the Alnico II Pro PUPs installed on it wired standard.

Hope someone can point me on the right direction.

What cap size do you guys use?
Also should I use a resistor as well, in series or parallel?

My LP has 500 K Volume Pots.

what do you guys use?

Thanks
Luis

I just get these from Mojotone for 2 bucks

Re: treble bleed on Alnico II Pro advise

it does not say for what type of pickups these values are for ? and if its for 250K, 500K or 1M pots

or maybe it does not matter

Thanks
Luis

It doesn't matter. I have this mod in all my electric guitars, each has different pickups and pot values. It does exactly what it says it will: retain the highs as you turn down the volume.

what values are those?

I tried looking for a kit on their site but could not find it

its on

This is simply a 220K resistor in parallel with a 471pf capacitor. We use them on our pre-wired guitar assemblies to preserve high end frequencies and improve the taper when rolling back your volume potentiometer. The volume mods are soldered in parallel between the first and second lugs (2 open lugs) of the volume pot.
