TREMBUCKER Buzzes and Hums but quiet in split coil mode

Please Help!

I've been using Dimarzio Tone Zone, and recently changed to TB 16 59/Custom Hybrid, and i found it extremely noisy even in clean channel, but when i wired it in coil split mode (red + white to the ground) then the noise gone!

I bought another one TB 6 Distortion and it's still like that...

I checked almost everything, such as grounding, base plate, shielding, wiring directly to the jack, etc ... and it's like that...

because from my knowledge humbucker should be less noisy than a single coil, and should have more noise in coil split mode... am i wrong??

so i wonder, is it just normal? or is it happening on some particular pickups ?

Thanx!!

If both pickups do it, you had to have wired something wrong. Dimarzio uses different colors for their leads, so recheck the Duncan diagrams.

Post some clear pictures of the wiring, and we can help sort it out. The Hybrid should be very quiet in regular humbucking mode.

Does it have a cover and if so does it appear to be correctly fitted? I bet that could be the cause if it's not the wiring.

Yeah, sounds like you've wired the HBs out of phase, which cancels most of the tone and doubles noise. You might have also wired some shielding or other ground connection to the hot side of the circuit, so all the noise that's supposed to be kept out of the hot lead is getting funneled in.
