Hi guys!
Starting a new thread to mainly help with those searching in the future. As some of you know I have a TB-4 where the bobbin cracked exposing the coil (see HERE) and I have decided I will go the cover route as it is by far my cheapest option.
I LOVE the look of the black Schaller 12 hole (if in plastic even better for me) but I want to make sure it lines up correctly. They do seem to have a version with pole spacing of 10.14mm vs 9.8mm (might only be in metal) but I am not too sure about if the outer dimensions will fit over the pickup? I don't mind if I need to make the hole a mm bigger as I do plan on putting the screws THROUGH the cover, so any ugliness should be covered up.
Another option (once again, if the cover fits OVER the pickup) is getting one of the closed plastic ones and drilling my own holes, I don't mind doing this at all.
Technical Drawings can be found here: http://guitar-parts.biz/hp135290/Pickup-Covers.htm
The closed pickup cover shows 71.4mm from the top view (70.44 from side view...hmm) which = 2.811" and 2.77" respectively
The Seymour Duncan Trembucker dimensions I can find show 2.78" across or 70.612mm
Thoughts?
EDIT: Looks like no hole plastic might only come in cream, just my luck. don't mind metal, but don't want chrome or gold. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well!
