Sure it'll work. In some cases, a trembucker spaced pickup will line up better with the strings than a standard spaced pickup.

When you put a F-spaced pickup on a guitar with a trem, does it really make that much of a tone difference?

not a tonal difference really, but it might be called a stronger sounds because all the poles line up correctly!

Christian I have a Peavey T-60 with those big chrome toaster type pickups on there now and I want to put Duncans in them and it measures out perfectly for Trembuckers. The Peavey has the standard Peavey hard tail.

I have to sa it again, but i don't understand, why the trembuckers did not become the standard Humbuckers!!!!!!
I even need a Trembucker in a Gibson Explorer, and it has no Floyd Rose neither has it a vintage trem.

I feel your pain buddy, everywhere you go it is easier to get standard spaced than a trembucker. Trembuckers should be the standard. Please do not shoot me folks but, that is one area where Dimarzio has an edge onvr duncan. Dimarzio makes everything in F-spaced and they are easier to find than a trembucker.

I have to agree with your statement.
When i started to buy humbuckers, i knew nothing about trembuckers.
I just bought what was on stock at the shops. And nobody asked me or told me about trembucker spacing.
I only heard somewhat of F-spaced and thought "i don't have a floyd rose".
Without the knowledge that this isn't only for floyd rose guitars.
I have around 10 guitars, mostly with duncans, and NO-ONE does have the "regular string spacing".
Here in Germany the trembuckers are expensiver and mostly NOT on stock.
Even the biggest shop here, which calls himself "biggest shop in Germany" (which is NEVER true!!! ) doesn't have them on stock.
They have listed them, but around 100 - 120 €!
And again, even there nobody asked me.
Another thing which confuses me a bit, is that the trembuckers doesn't fit into a Fender pickguard. Of course it fits into a squared pickguard-hole, but not in a fat strat pickguard, which is rounded at the edges. I had to make it bigger.

Cuz they won't easily fit in a standard size mounting ring nor has there been a nickel cover for them until recently.

The Trembucker is not for guitars with a tremolo/vibrato as much as they are for guitars with Fender string spacing at the bridge. Fenders have wider string spacing at the bridge than Gibson style guitars. Lew

Nope, not at all, especially with higher output pickups.

I've done direct comparisons going both ways and I'd say the difference is negligible.
