Trembucker in Les Paul?

I know this has probably been posted a thousand times, but I couldn't find a thread about it. Do trembuckers actually line up in Les Pauls? I thought that I read somewhere on here that it's pretty much the same, but wasn't sure.

Anyway, my buddy has a full shred TB that I'd like to try out in my paul, but don't wanna pay for it if it drops out!

...A quick and easy way to tell which you need is to measure from the middle of the high string to the middle of the low string, directly over the pickup. If the distance is greater than two inches or 50mm, go for a Trembucker. If it's less than two inches or 50mm, go for a humbucker.

This is ESPECIALLY true of Tune-o-matic bridges, where the saddles are slotted by hand and therefore can have a variance in the spacing.
