Trembucker Question

Are trembuckers for use with vintage trems or just Floyd's.

Also would you need to route your pickguard to fit the trembucker if the humbucker you are replacing was standard.

thanks

Re: Trembucker Question

any time the E to E distance is 2 inches or more, tremspaced is useful ... i am pretty sure they fit in a standard pickguard

Re: Trembucker Question

I did have to file a bit of plastic away on my Predator pickgaurd to fit my 59 trembucker. But it only took a couple minutes and was real easy.

Re: Trembucker Question

They fit in a standard Fender pickgaurd, and also the Ibanez ones... although you must consider that not all pickgaurds are made the same. So as the guys said, measure the distance between your strings.

Trem spacing is useful in any guitar with a trem.

Re: Trembucker Question

If you're talking about the parallel axis trembucker series, you may have to file doen the pickguard route by a small amount. They work well with both vintage and Floyd Rose trems. The string spacing is the same as a normal trembucker, but the parallel axis trembuckers are a tiny bit wider than normal trembuckers, so they fit a bit more snugly.
