Hey guys, looking for a super cheap tremelo pedal to add to my board. Right now I'm leaning towards the Visual Sound Chopper. Seems reasonable enough for what I'm doing. Any others I should check out?

Re: Tremelo Pedal Suggestions

I'm pretty partial to the Demeter Tremulator, the stereo version particularly is awesome because you can bounce the sound between two different amps.

Re: Tremelo Pedal Suggestions

I was just going to post about this. I'll probably be picking one of these up pretty soon too.

I've never used this pedal before, but I've owned other Mooer gear and found the quality to be very good.

Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, as that particular Mooer model hasn't come to my local store yet. I'll probably pop by during the weekend and check it out, tho the vid I posted was pretty much enough to make up my mind. Most other tremolo pedals I've seen cost 2-3 times more and got like 7 knobs, so this one is pretty pefect for me. And it's tiny, so it'll fit on my new pedal board I'm putting together, which will be sort of compact.

Re: Tremelo Pedal Suggestions

If you like unique, the EHX Pulsar is unique, stereo and umm. . .unique sound, plus can be set very fast.

Re: Tremelo Pedal Suggestions

The strymon looks and sounds (in clips) incredible but is probs too specific if not looking for amp trem sounds. Alot of the the chinese brands have trems for cheap like the Mooer, it depends if you want simple triangle and square wave or if you want weird waves to create not so often heard volume modulation or if you want something with a vtinage amp trem sound.

Leaning towards vintage, and I'm not looking for very fast (goodbye EHX). It's going to be used primarily in an instrumental/surf rock context.

I'm a big fan of the three-knob Voodoo Lab. Dunno if they're cheap enough for ya (I've scored a couple used for under $70 each) but it does everything from throb to helicopter.

+1 for the Boss TR2

I like it so much I got the Keeley modded version.
