I want to put a new tremolo(the old ones wore out) on a 1968 Charvel HSS,
but I was told that the Post Spacing is different on different guitars!
Is that true?? Can't I change the origional Kahler to a Fold Rose with out a lot of trouble??

1986 Charvel?

What model Kahler?

I think we gonna need some pics at this point?

Unless its a kahler steeler I think your boned on doing it without much trouble. Most of the trems I remember on 80's charvels are going to need some routing to get them to work with a floyd.

Re: Tremolo post spacing..???

The Original Floyd and various licensed ones typically have 74mm post spacing (centre to centre). Some, like the Gotoh, have one straight knife edge which allows for looser tolerance.
