Tremorno? bridge suggestions

Ok... As many of you know, I recently got a Gibson V . The V has a Floyd Rose FRX bridge on it. Ive wanted a V for a long time and had a faded for awhile. At first, I wasn't thrilled with it having the Floyd, but, I got a good price on the guit and the the FRX system runs a few hundred bux too.. I was going to pull it and run a reg stop tail, but now I may keep the trem on.
It sustains awesome as is and seems to play and sound great. Only negative is that I don't care for the look as much.
So, any input one way or another?
If I do go to a standard bridge/tail piece, what one should I get? Gotoh? Tonepros? Any benefit to using a roller bridge? Orig parts didnt come with it.

Get an aluminum tailpiece, and a Nashville bridge. Gotoh set the standard all others are measured against.

The TonePros ARE made by Gotoh.

Thanks for the info! Id prolly go tone pros if I do go to the solid tail set up. I like the locking feature. Didnt know they were made by Gotoh, but they def feel well made..

Dumb question.. What is the diff in a Nashville bridge vs ?? I was looking at some bridges online for sale and a bunch of them have the wire on the front.. I frigging hate those.. I was actually kinda suprised they sold those as an upgrade as the one I got stock on one of my Epis was a royal pain. Swapped it fast for a Gotoh.

The quote you're looking for is ABR-1. The Nashville have a longer range of movement to adjust the intonation, doing it by reducing the thickness of the saddles.

To some vintage-crazed people, due to this detail, they argue the ABR-1 is a "better sounding" design. If you ask me, they simply can not be more wrong.

Anyway, nowadays you can buy string-less ABR-1s, so everybody is "happy", LOL!

For the record, the Gotoh GT-103x bridge design has the same lenghty intonation range as the Nasville, but the saddles and the body itself have the same mass as the ABR-1, so it's the best of both worlds, and that's why it's been my favorite since... forever! I wouldn't use any other brand.

If you go hardtail and miss the trem down the line there's always bigsby and the like, duesenberg makes a solid trem that doesn't require screws, just used the existing bars for tailpiece. As for roller bridge, no trem then no worries. Even with a trem unless you rarely change strings or use super light gauges your probably fine!

Thanks for the info Chris0709, but the guitar currently has a Floyd Rose FRX bridge on it. It is the newer Floyd system the basically bolts on to a guitar in place of the stop tail. Its not the normal floyd that had the back end routed out. So, if I do switch and go back to the trem, Ill definately slap it back on. I works pretty darn well. Plus, IMO a Bigsby on a V would be even less attractive than the FRX system.. The floyd works fine, Im just not excited by the looks of it. So, thats the only reason Im considering taking it back to stock..
