I have a Fender Fat Strat and I want to switch out the humbucker but Im not sure whether I should get a trembucker or regular humbucker? The string spacing is exactly 2" across. Thanks.
yeah your fat strat has a tremolo correct? generally the spacing on the trembuckers is suited to match the string spacing on guitars with tremolos, like fender strats, or floyd equipped guitars, etc. trembuckers are the same as humbuckers with F-spacing. id go with a trembucker for your strat.
is this really true? im pretty sure the only difference with trembuckers is the spacing between the poles. unless we're talking about the trembucker humbuckers with the parallel pole pieces.
The pole spacing for Dimarzio F-spaced pickups is exactly 2". SD Trembuckers are 2 1/16". Standard spaced pickups of both Dimarzio & SD are 1 15/16". Gibson's bridge pickups are also 2".
