Tried out a few vibes... and I was shocked to find out:

Re: Tried out a few vibes... and I was shocked to find out:

It is just pitch modulation
Lesson!
Cannot modulate without timedelay, that can be achived in more manners than just with digital or BBD chips.
Tremolo:volume on off(down /up), how it sounds depends on hard the lfo works, and is set.

Lol I know what you mean...I have tried a few Fulltones and the Microvibe...
The last Fulltone....no effect...just meow meow meow, fiddled with the internal trimmer...more meow meow...no vibe, just a unthrobbing nowhere going vibe, it was so tame, the first one I tried before this one did not do much better, alittle more throb...but not nearly enough!

Mmmmmm...

When I went vibe shopping I was pretty under impressed by the microvibe, really washed... not even the slightest hint of a pulse. Fulltones are ok... I bought the Dunlop based on the bang for the buck ratio. Didn't sound bad...didn't cost $350+ either!

It is a bit noisy though. Tone sucker too... not sure it bugs me much.

For the price Fulltones goes for here!!!
They better make coffee and massage your feet!!
Dunno I like Mike's 69 and 70 fuzz's, and that is where any common grounds taste stops I am afraid:)
If I had more time...I would get Thomas and Rasmus to make one....without the silly "superior" parts, just common off the shelves stuff....
It should be do able!!

I learn something (or many things) everyday from this forum. Still I do find that a chorus on a vibrato setting sounds different to the pitch modulation I hear in amps. I am not that technically minded when it comes to whats behind what you hear so i dont have a clue on the technicallities.

I've tried the Octa-Fuzz and the ChoralFlange as well... played the fuzz through the uni-vibe pedals to see if it would make them sound good... the fuzz sounded better without them - it was actually the best distortion pedal I've played in a while, rich fat tone, incredibly dynamic, no volume drop at any setting.
The chorus flanger was also a cool pedal although it had many unusable settings and like the Deja vibes it didn't get to any extremes... at some setting it did sound like it makes your guitar fart... that was cool... :naughty:

They are overpriced, and for their price you would expect them to do more (like coffee and massage) - but they are very good pedals.

Guhhh, this post smells like Hemony Central.

Hehe the Choralflange sounds alot like TC's chorus/flanger.
Way to polite for my likeness...but it is a good choice for that polite subtle effect.

heheheh

Yeah.

I tried the Choralflange thinking & hoping it'd be some whacked out WAAAAAAY over the top flanger like the old ADA stomp...

HA!

Boy was I suprised!

Rid - Is anyone making anything even close to the ADA box? I have a '70s MXR which is pretty rad... a friend/client has another one... I keep trying to make him find it so I can 'adopt' it...

Stereo.

heheheheheh
