if youre going to save up for a recto, you might as well go and get a diezel for a little more....I hate how rectos sound. Hetfield's tone on the St.Anger DVD..I know thats not the best place... but that thing is just evil.

engl is also a terrific choice

why he used deizel on st. anger? I really liked his tone on that album too, cd as a whole was just okay/good, but i really liked the guitar tone

I wasnt referring to a recto, because James doesn't even use one.

Yes, he did use one on St.Anger. I actually liked the guitar tone on it, too bad the production made it suck. it sounds ballsy as **** on the DVD
