Triple-shot on a PRS?

I recently got a PRS SE Hollowbody II, and I'm wondering if the Triple-shot rings would be a direct fit? Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks Mincer, here are a few pics, next to a couple of pickup rings that I had in my parts drawer, unfortunately, I have no recollection of which guitars they came from. The cream one looks fine, but the black one is slightly smaller. I'm probably just going to go ahead and order them from my local shop, and trust my luck...

I just don't want to be like that other guy, who installed them incorrectly, and blamed you guys! Thanks for your help!

I think those pickup rings on your PRS are Epiphone-sized and the black one seems to be Gibson-sized. Not sure if they make the Triple Shot Epiphone-sized.

I've seen people install the smaller pickup rings on guitars that came stock with the larger ones. But I'm note sure if you'd have to dowel and redrill. Or you might be able to force them a little, but there's the risk of either cracking them, or them ending up looking crooked.

Hi Mincer, I'm definitely doing the install, with a pair of Seth Lovers. I'll absolutely let you know how it goes, with pics, of course!

Rex, the Epiphone thought is a possibility, as I've messed around with 2 or 3 Epi's over the years, but I haven't had a Gibson since I started noodling with guitar wiring, so unless they're a 'generic' Gibson size from All parts, or something like that, I'm not sure what they wouldn't been from. I'll let you know what I find...

Thank you for asking, Mincer, I just checked, and the Lovers that I bought from my local shop are indeed 2-conductor. Guess I'm heading back there today...interestingly, there's no indication on the packaging that indicated 2 or 4 conductor.

seths, and most duncan paf types, are 2 cond normally. they have to be specially ordered as 4 cond. also, i find the split and parallel wirings are more useful with higher output pups since even in series a seth isnt a very hot pup. sounds great though!

Thanks, Jeremy, I hadn't known that about the PAF's. For how I play (poorly), I'm more interested in tone than output, so I'm not too concerned with the parallel/split output levels, mostly just having tonal variation available at my fingertips, instead on the floor...

You can convert 1 conductor pickups to 4 conductor. It's up to you if you want to do it yourself tho. If you were going to be the one to wire up the triple shots, it wouldn't be any harder to do the conversion. If you were going to have a tech wire the triple shots, he'd also be able to do the conversion.

I had to order my Seths as 4 conductor. I use 2 of them with a 5-position switch. They are remarkable sounding pickups, though.

I have a great, long-term relationship with my local shop, like 40 years now, I just returned the 2-wire Seths, and they're ordering me the 4-wire version. Just means I have to be a little patient with my new project...

Hopefully it won't be too long. The factory should be able to ship those out quickly.

I'm sure the factory will be plenty zippy, the challenge is that it's a fairly small shop, and it can take a bit of time to build up enough of an order to be able to purchase (I'm assuming there's a minimum order amount for the vendors?). I'd pretty much always rather be a little patient, and make sure Moze Guitars gets my money, instead of Amazon...
