Triple-shot ring question

Hey Ya'll

I have a question about the rings:

So I'm putting together a Warmoth build. It's going to have a strat body with a Tele neck p/u, Strat middle, and humbucker bridge. I want to utilize the in/out of phase and series/parallel universal wiring in it so I can get peter green sounds with in/out of phase AND fatten the sound with series/parallel.
One pet peeve of mine is switch abundance. I hate having 100 switches on a guitar, when I can have ninja switches and varitone pots. Low profile is key. What I'd like to know, is if there is a way to utilize the triple shot ring switches to control series and phase. (one switch is series/par., the other is in/out phase) I understand that they are in essence on/off switches, but does anyone have a diagram that does this type of thing? Possibly have a mechanism in the control cavity that's wired to the ring that controls these features?

Thanks!!

Re: Triple-shot ring question

It's technically possible, but it's probably more work than it's worth. Your pickup leads connect to a circuit board which is attached by cables to the switches in the ring. Another lead from the board takes the place of the normal pickup leads to your guitars volume/tone etc. You would have to scrap the circuit board and wire the entire series/parallel + phase/out circuitry in whatever room you have underneath/beside the pickup. The cables from the switches are perhaps an inch long. It would be a lot of headache.

I'm not 100% sure what you're looking for, but you can probably find the schematic you need here - and just substitute in the triple shot switches.

Nothing really hits what I'm trying to do on the head.

I'd do a send / return set up to a device in the control cavity that switches between series/parallel and in/out of phase

dude
I just think you are making it way harder
trying to use something in a manner for which it wasnt designed

a push-pull on the volume for series/parallel
and another on the tone for phase

no switch overload at all

you may just be overthinking it

I do this all the time

Believe me, if left handed audio taper push pulls existed, I wouldn't have had to think of this

This will not work, sorry, because of how the triple shoot is internally wired.
When both switches are down, your phase return will be linked to your series/Parallel return.
Not a valid switch for that application.
What about a 4PDT toggle?. Is like to have a couple of DPDT acting with same lever.

3HumTSPhase.png I know this is not what your looking for, but I used 3- on/off/on switches for out of phase, the TS took care of the series/parallel.
