Triple Shot...

Re: Triple Shot...

Triple shots are amazing, here's a few things I've learned since installing them that might be helpful to you. If you don't want them to be permanent, they are easier to remove if you slice the adhesive strip in half, only use half of the adhesive so that you can remove them more easily. Pretty much every guitar other than a les paul require the "flat" ones. Also, "reverse wiring" the bridge is a good idea (see triple shot instructions).

My favorite thing about triple shots is that they allow me to scoop up dirt cheap used pickups with unusable short leads. No one wants to buy a pickup that doesn't have a long enough lead so the sellers are desperate, but with the triple shots it doesn't matter.

Triple shots are fantastic!

Purchase a set for extra value add for your guitar...

Re: Triple Shot...

Just curious, anyone tried to mount one to the top of a Stratocaster? Kinda curious if they are too tall for that.

Basically considering the Frankenstrat sort of thing (Well HSS really) on a Strat copy I have, debating Full Size vrs. Lil/Jr's and whether I'm after the vintage or JB levels of output.

Re: Triple Shot...

the only trouble is that the volume knob bumps into the bridge ring

Hmmm... sound like a pickup cover with a little cavity for the switches could be effective. Well maybe, might not let you drop the pickups low enough for some uses.

Will have to think about that a little.

Guess for a Strat they it's the old, add some micro switches deal.

Some of my ESP's though have Strat style bodies, carved tops and pickup rings... might be a good home for a triple shot or two.

Re: Triple Shot...

just swap out the top hat knobs for tele domes
or Warmouthhas an option where you can move the volume on a new pickguard down and out of the way

Now that is useful. One of the reasons that I don't play my Strat much is because I keep hitting the volume knob by accident.
