Troubleshooting a dead amp. Ideas?

Friend has a Laney Ironheart that sounds no more.
Gonna check it in an hour or so. Cables have been checked.

Could you guys please run some quick ideas on tests to try?
He already plugged into the loop return and it has no sound.

We'll open it up to dismount/checking pre tubes and do the tap test with the power tubes, which glow well and even.

Ideas? Thanks!

Not trying to rain on your parade, but when it comes to amps - if you don't know what you're doing, leave it alone. Let an expert tech handle it. No one wants to read about your electrical mishap in the news.

Turns out V1 wasn't heating as well as the others.
Reseated it, nothing.

Replaced it with a spare tube and it came back to life. I think my buddy plugged into the send and not the return of the FX Loop when I told him to try that over the phone.

His Ironheart is now alive and well!
