Trying a Lil Screamin Demon in my LTD ST-213

I got a sweet deal on a new Lil Screamin Demon and put it in my Sea Foam Green ST-213 along with two YJM Fury bridge pickups with flat pole pieces in the neck and middle positions. I've always wanted to try the Lil Screamin Demon and so far I love it. I have the Lil 59 bridge pickup in a couple other guitars and while it seems to have a bit more output I think the tone might be a bit fuller with the Lil Screamin Demon. It seems to have a little thicker mids imo.

One question about the poles on the Lil Screamin Demon. Is there a possible difference in tone or output with one side having the screws and the other side having the different poles? Just wonder what the point is other than being able to adjust all of them.

I've had two lil Demons in my ST213 for years with a Duckbucker in the middle. I've never bothered with the poles on mine, raising or lowering has always gotten it where I need it.

I really like this pickup in the bridge so far. Seems to be not as bright as the full-sized Screamin Demon to me. Some of that could be the 250k vs 500k pots also I guess.

Wow, cool color! I bet the Demon and the Furies sound great together, too.

So far they sound great together. By using the YJM bridge pickups in the neck and middle they add a bit more output and are also a bit brighter compared to the regular neck/middle YJM's.

Of course I still have the one in the neck position not going thru the tone control like on my other two guitars with the YJM's in the neck so it sounds a little more open. I may end up switching that first tone pot to a no-load and wiring both the neck and middle to it. I'll try it on one guitar and if it works I'll do the same to another I've got set up similar.

That sounds about right, the 250ks will make it sound a little darker and that isn't really a bad thing.

Re: Trying a Lil Screamin Demon in my LTD ST-213

Any of the Little single coil-sized humbuckers were designed to drop right in a Strat that already has 250k pots, although there are no rules here. Some people do indeed change them to 300 or 500k pots. Pots are cheap (if a pain to get to in a Strat), so it is worth experimenting with your particular guitar.

Love the Sea Foam Green LTD. Great idea pairing the Little Screamin' Demon with the YJM pickups in the Neck and Middle positions! Let us know how it sounds!

glad you like the set of pups. the guitar looks awesome! why do you say the bridge pup in the neck is brighter than the regular neck/middle pup?
