Some of the guys at Rig-Talk peaked my curiosity about this Ronni LeTekro trick so I found a mint Boss BF2 mij and stuck it in my rig.
The playing isn't so great but I think you can hear the TNT mid notch even though I'm using my OD100se+ and active pickups. AHB3 bridge.
It's a blast to play with and reminds me of the days when I used a Furman PQ3.
