Trying to get the right pick-ups

Re: Trying to get the right pick-ups

Welcome to the forum!

The thing is I play the rhythm guitar and my purpose is to find a bridge pick-up with high gain and a very aggressive sound to play heavy rhythms and riffs

Duncan Distortion

For the neck position I want a radically different sound, ‘cos my aim is to be able to play clean and warm riffs.

59'

I'm not sure about combining the '59n with the Distortion. The Distortion neck model sounds really cool and will get you a nice clean and warm sound that stays defined under distortion. I'd also recommend the Jazz neck. It's not necessarily a jazz pickup at all- it's nice and clear and plays well with high output pickups.

Anyway, I think either a Distortion set or a Custom/Jazz set would work well. The Custom/Jazz lineup is a little lower output and a little cleaner and snarlier.

A distrtion bridge and a 59 neck is what i use in one of my guitars. They sound great together and match up well as a pair. It's my go to guitar for Priest,Dokken,Ozzy kind of tones.
