Ah dammit, I thought this was a which do you prefer?

I think it's a POD but I accidentally voted tube.

Re: Tube amp or POD? (Until we say goodbye track)

I'm saying POD... though I will admit it's much harder to tell on the lower gain sounds with the reverb and delay happening.

Re: Tube amp or POD? (Until we say goodbye track)

You know, I have a feeling it's a Pod, but some things in there say tube, so I voted tube.

Re: Tube amp or POD? (Until we say goodbye track)

That was an awesome track.

I'll say that it was a POD. Some little things are just hinting at that.

Re: Tube amp or POD? (Until we say goodbye track)

That sounded great. The question leads me to believe its POD but I voted tube just to be different. Its really hard to tell.

That part at 1:30 RAWKS!!!!!

Ok..here's the answer:

POD :D

Directly into a mixer -> PC..no tubes involved.

I also didn't tweak a lot on the EQ..added some highs because it sounded a bit dark. Reverb and delay are coming 100% from the Pod, too. :)

Less gain is more :D

It's just my preference but yeah it's harder to tell then, I guess. But your statement is still cool and it "prooves" that you can get a decent sound (no matter if delay, reverb etc. are involved) by using the digital stuff. (I know, nobody said that you can't get a decent sound out of it) ;)

I don't want a debate digital vs. tube here btw :D

Thanks Mr. Emder!

So..10:3 (Beers wanted to vote tube). I confess, that the Pod "vibe" is still there but to know it, you have to own and played a Pod before I'd say.

Cheers!

I've been practicing a lot lately ... so I've been using the COSM settings on a Boss Dr.880 for a few weeks now. Using headphones so I don't drive everyone nuts with the repetition. I've found that it can get some pretty convincing toness ... especially if you remove a lot of the effects, take it easy on the noise reduction and reverb. It has Marshall, Matchless, a couple of Mesas, Vox, Fender Twin ... I can get surprisingly close with the modeler.

Cranking up the Boogie is still my favorite ... but the COSM amp modeling is pretty cool. :approve:

real nice tone and phrasing....I like your sense of melody.
Thank you a ton!

This is a Joe Satriani tune by the way, if anyone didn't know. :)

Yeah, I like this attitude! I like the feel of my tube gear (Engl and Mi Audio Tube Zone) better, too. :D

Re: Tube amp or POD? (Until we say goodbye track)

that was definately beyond decent tone. I thought it was very good.
