Tube Screamer Times two

Re: Tube Screamer Times two

By the way, a TS-9 is good with the Bad Monkey too.....very good, but a "good" TS to me is modded by someone like our own Stratdeluxer which with the pedal and mod will run you a bit. I run that setup as well with great results....just more expensive. Good Luck.

Thanks for posting brother...Actually the mods don't get any cheaper than what I charge! I'm surely not charging enough, but it's still alot of fun making other people happy..

Agreed brother John, you are the cheapest mod master by far! Great work too as far as I'm concerned. My SD-1 you did for me kills!

I have a TS-10 that I performed the "808 mod" on. It seems to sort of suck tone and volume (though it sounds sweet when engaged) since I did the modification. Is this normal?

bump..

The TS10 requires extra mods, did you do all the mods required of the TS10?

Yes, I did the whole job awhile back, perhaps about 9 mos ago. I followed the instructions from a reliable web site (though the name escapes me right now). It detailed the steps required for TS7/TS10/etc.
Mind you, it sounds really good... I just wonder if it's normal to have this much of a drop in volume when the pedal is between my guitar and amp...

Re: Tube Screamer Times two

So, does the TS-7 mod turn it into a "high" gain pedal or does it more/less broaden its character. Does it keep its original character plus, like added turbo boost?

It retains it's tonal character, but the mids are dipped out slightly...The lows are greatly increased and the gain is increased...These mods greatly improve the function of the boost switch...
