I've seen original TS-808's fetch up to $600+ dollars!

You should be be able to get a TS-10 for like $50-$80ish dollars.
The current Maxon OD-808 basically has the same circuit (FYI)

Nope....An original one will set you back around $350 and up...Just stupidly crazy for any Tube Screamer!

The TS808 Reissue sells for $169.....Guess which one I've modded and love? :dance:

I like the TS10 just the way it is..... I picked one up for $40Canadian used and have loved it! It sure beats any of my newer Boss OD's........

I Love stock Tube Screamers also...The only problem with all of the line,is a loss in your lows when you click it on...You get the gain and some compression behind your tone,but you lose alot of your lows...The fix is to beef the lows up and take a bt of the midrange spike out of it..

The midrange hump is probably the biggest thing people dislike about a TS..I think leads and being able to cut,are all about the mids...

I'm using two TS9's...one about 3 years old the other about 1 year. The older one sounds better/smoother to me.

@StratD...so your mod gives the beef back? How much do you charge? I'd be interested in that.

The mods beef the pedal up quite a bit,more gain at higher drive settings,cleaner at lower drive settings,correct chip if your pedal has the TA57778 in it? 808 conversion...Small decrease in the "mid hump"...Contact me...

Do NOT buy one! I bought one off of eBay for the same price modded (same model and everything). A few weeks after using it, the switch went (a problem I've heard carried with other similar designs from Ibanez at that time). It's not worth the money, save your money for a TS-808 RI / TS9 and have John mod it or buy an MJM Blues Devil OD (the closest thing to an 808 IMHO)

I didn't forget but I'm looking into a few things that shoukd be uber-cool if it pans out for you.

Keep me posted....No rush on my end as far as switching that bridge out,but I'm expecting your TS10 whenever you'd like it taken care of....
