you can replace tubes yourself, i assume they are the preamp tubes, just gently pull out the old ones by pulling in a slight circle motion, put in the new ones. you dont have to drain caps for that.
What? Circle motion? Ah **** that, just pull 'em out and slap the new ones in if it's preamp tubes(Those are straight pins you know)
Just do the circle motion if its hard to pull out. Remember it's always good to use a cloth to handle tubes at all times cause oil gets on the tube. Then tubes get hot, so it's not so good. Basically line up the pins with sockets in the amp and push the tube in till it snug.
Does anyone gonna say anything about the fact that the Dude needs to rebias too ??? kinda' important for new tubes.
No need to rebias pre-amp tubes. Only necessary for power amp tubes. Change and switch pre-amp tubes till the cows come home if you want...no problems.
