Tuner issue

The only argument for Klusons on a Gibson is to avoid neck dive on an SG. Other than that, they belong on toy guitars.

Ha -damn thats a really funny point.... that is really annoying on SGs and other guitars with the center of gravity, button strap, and shape just get awkard if not addressed.

Yep -feel so good! I've never understood why people would choose Klusons over Grovers on their Gibbys other than to be period correct. I like avoiding Tuning issues :)
Gotoh SD90s. They look like Klusons, but they're actually a well-made modern tuner. I like Sperzels better, but they're an excellent lightweight option.

I have a set of those on my Florentine Epi , top lockers
excellent tuners

My LP Studio has tuners that “look” like Klusons but I’m not sure if they actually are.
I will say that they hold tune great and I’ve never had an issue at all with them.

I have Gotoh Kluson Style tuners on both of my Frankenstrats. Haven't had any tuning issues with them. The SG Jr has lightweight sealed Gotoh tuners. The Les Paul Trad Pro has the stock locking tuners. The Dean ML has the stock Grovers. I don't have problems with any of them. Any tuning issues have an attributed to the nut and intonation setup.

If I was to replace the Kluson style tuners, I would probably go with the Gotoh SD91-05M MGT locking tuners. Direct drop-ins for what I have now. No plans to do that now.
