I'm thinking of adding a tuner to my pedal board and was wondering which ones you all have or have had and what you thaought of them. How much more acurate are the $100 doller ones from the $50 ones.
The TU2 is a great tuner. The only problem I have with it is that it's hard to read the LED display when playing outdoor gigs during the day. Some tuners with only LEDs have this problem. I feel that the needle-type tuners like the boss tu12 would be a better choice for use in sunlight. I've also heard that the Peterson strobostomp offers good visibility under these conditions but I've never had the chance to try one out. You may want to keep this in mind if you are gigging outdoors.
If you want dead-on accuracy, to the point where you can set intonation, the Peterson Strobostomp. It also has some sweetened tunings, including Feiten, as an option. More expensive, but it's super accurate.
