Tutorial Getting the VH1 sound with Bias FX and a duncan 59 or a 78 model

The playing isnt perfect : it's the first time i use reaper for recording and playing with 200ms latency.... it sucks a lot... However the sound is there... That spitting sound we all love :P!

I Used a 78 model but a duncan 59 will do as good !

I based my EQ on this picture. Don't not copy ed's EQ on bias fx because the eq on bias fx is a lil bit different the one eddies use. If you configure like in the picture the sound is gonna be too compressed.

for the plexi settings go 10 on everything for both pelxis. If you can add a real delay low volume settings plus a lil bit of the reverb of bias fx you'll get the perfect sound.

The SH-5 Custom is the pickup for the first album strat.

BIAS is an awesome tool; did this EVH vid two years ago using BIAS and studio magic:
