Does anyone know what kind (if any) of tone pots will work for a bridge position Twang Banger? It doesn't respond well to the couple I've tried. Any and all help greatly appreciated...

Welcome to the forum.

Do you know what you tried? ('not responding well' doesn't really tell what the exact problem is to help solve it.)

Typically, a log taper 250k would be fine.

2nd 250k log taper, I prefer no load because you know you have max bright on 10 if you need that.

After that you have to experiment with what cap value. What are you going for? 6.8nf - 15 sound middy, 18 - 22 are creamy, above that are bassy. Below 6.8 nf mostly cuts highs and you still hear a lot of the signal.

The control is wired correctly, and functioned perfectly on the previously installed pickup, but on the TB, any reduction of the tone from 10 yields a very thin sound that doesn't really reduce tone so much as volume. Very strange.

That sounds like the tone pot wiring wasn't properly grounded, not a problem with the tone pot itself.

i agree, sounds like a ground wire isnt connected properly. ive always used a 250k pot with a .022 cap with my twangbanger but thats preference more than anything else
