Twangbanger - Loose baseplate: what to do?

Hey dudes. I just got a set of SSL1s and a Twangbanger bridge in the mail from Lew. Can't WAIT to install it tonight. It's gonna sound killer!!!

One Q though - in shipping, I think the baseplate of the Twangbanger came loose...it doesnt seem to be super-firmly attached (I can move it slightly). I'm feeling this will cause microphonics.

Whats the best way to reattach it? REheat the wax? Hair dryer, lighter, something else hot? What about a couple dabs of super glue?

Thanks guys.

you could use super glue but silicon adhesive is what i would use. thats what i used to put baseplates on some strat pups and iit seemed to work well

I've also hear that besides glue that you can use wax to keep it firmly attached, and microphonic free.

heat it with a hair dryer, if that will get the wax hot enough.......you need to melt the wax up a little bit, and then firmly push the baseplate back up into it, and hold it, allowing it to reset

thanks alot guys!

I'll try heating it...if that doesnt work, then I'm busting out the super glue!

Good luck, that's a great set up you've got there. I think you're going to like it.

Get out your arc welder...

...and kiss your pickup goodbye!!!

I'd say that's a good course of action. Try using what's on there first. If that doesn't work, superglue will hold just about anything.
