Tweak Fuzz, where in the chain?

Just looking into the Tweak Fuzz and was wondering if anyone can tell me where in the chain this should go. I'm using a Dunlop Wah 535Q, Twin Tube Classic, TC Electronic Flashback and then into the amp in that order.

The earlier in the chain the better.

Do you know if it has a problem if you place it before the Wah or after it. I tried an MXR 108 and it really had an impact on the tone if placed after it. It has a buffer switch to compensate but that also had a negative impact on the tone.

Re: Tweak Fuzz, where in the chain?

Depends...

If you wah is not buffered to work in front of a wah it simply won't work well when the tweak fuzz is on but if you're just woried about using the fuzz alone if it's placed after the wah you should be fine...

Dealing with fuzzes can be tricky...I always suggest having them as early in the chain as possible mostly because thats the easy answer...

FWIW, I run my fuzzes after a wah (non true bypass), an Octavia (true bypass) and a Vuni Vibe (also true bypass) and get great results but my board took a lot of planning to work well with the fuzz not placed first because thats what gave me the sound I wanted...

Just try it and see...if you like it then it works.

Thanks for your help, I'll play around with it and see how it goes.

Re: Tweak Fuzz, where in the chain?

Either before or after the wah, depending on how your fuzz interacts with your wah, and which sound you like better.

Boost into fuzz can be fun as well, but people generally seem to prefer boost after fuzz, for smoother and more varied tones.

Definitely before time domain effects, though. Distortion after those tends to just muddy things up.

Thanks fort that, I'll definitely keep it before the delay.
