A few months ago I was given this Old Peavey Decade. It had a intermittent short some where? So Instead of troubleshooting the problem... I had a better Idea! Here is a 2 part slide show I like to call... Turning a Turd into a Tweed! Sound clips coming soon, Enjoy. Part 1 Part 2
It's was a lot of work. Most Importantly a lot of attention to detail. Make one mistake and your screwed! Being that this wasn't a kit and came with no instructions, I hit a few brick walls during the build I had to think my way though. But if you take your time and enjoy it...It's very rewarding.
What's the new nameplate gonna look like, Mr.GuitarARtologist? I assume you're gonna remove the Peavy logo. Looks like your one you way to becoming a AmpArtologist also.

Yeah, The Peavey logo is gone,And I sanded the Peavey face off. I got stick on Lettering from a Arts&Crafts store. I think this makes a sufficient faceplate? As you can see in the pic. I had a extra hold I needed to fill. I just happen to have some Military Insignia's laying around that seem to work. I have a Major's leaf on the face plate and a Colonel (or Navy Captain) Bird on the grill. So I guess I can call it `The Tone Major' or Cap't Tweed.:laugh2: Lt. Commander Princeton.
