Twin Tube Classic fault

Hi

I've had a Twin Tube Classic for a few years and it's been great, but has recently developed a power input problem.

The pedal cuts out, and when you pull the power input connector up at the input, it comes on again.

A friend had a look and said I'd probably have to replace the power input, which is quite complicated, he reckoned, because of it's location and connection to the circuit board, (I think))

My questions are - where can I get the part? How would I do it myself? Are there places online in the uk that might fix this for me if I can't do it?

Many thanks

Mike

Re: Twin Tube Classic fault

Broken solder joints on board mounted jacks are a very common problem on any piece of gear.

If you know anything about electronics, you should be able to re-wet the solder connections, IF warranty exchange is difficult for you. The jack is probably not broken, just the solder connection......probably cracked from being yanked.

Re: Twin Tube Classic fault

Thanks for the reply - I have managed to track down a damaged in transit pedal at Aria in the uk, and the guy there is stripping the part for me.

Cheers

Mike
