Re: Twin Tube Classic Making Crackling Sounds...
i'll have to pay more attention to the TTC being hard to play ... i havent played my strat through it in ages - that is my 'hardest to play' guitar (EJ sig / quartersawn neck / lowish output SSS / lowish frets / 5 springs)
i do not get the 'hard to play' thing from my SC245 but the huge frets, beefy HH pickups, and short scale make it pretty much a dream to play (per my tastes at least) ... one thing i like about the TTC is the way it responds to my RH attack ... and again, i am only playing into a Blues JR set mosty clean clean and not crazy loud .. and we're not playing high gain music - mostly rootsy/bluesy/swampy americana rock
horses for courses!
ETA: my biggest TTC quibble is the shared EQ ... i end up having to set the guitar's individual volume and tone controls and use the bridge pickup for crunchy rhythm (TTC yellow ch - gtr volume and tone on 6-8) and neck for hot lead (red ch - guitar's volume and tone both cranked)
