Twin Tube Classic - SFX-03 - Problem

Re: Twin Tube Classic - SFX-03 - Problem

I tried a couple of times, but maybe not enough.
I will try more times and then I'll come back here.

Do I need to disassemble all the pedal? Because I just opened the lid and applied the spray at all the spots.
I'm afraid to unscrew it all and ruin it.

ps.: I've noticed that the Twin Tube blinks sometimes, but not enough to shut down.
I never dismantled mine when I deox'ed it. Never had blinking either....that's not a good sign!

Well, I tried more times, and the problem continues.
I don't know, but I think it is not the oxidation, the pedal seems like new inside (I didn't see any dirt since i have opened it)
Even so, I tried the contact cleaner multiple times.

I'll try more, is there a problem if I use the deox too much?

I'm beginning to think it's something else and needs attention by an electronics tech. if sending it back to SD for servicing isn't possible.

Re: Twin Tube Classic - SFX-03 - Problem

Hey guys!

Well, it's hard to find a reliable eletronics tech here, and I don't want to send it for other states or country. But, if it's necessary, I will do.
However, I think I found a solution.

I've been researching, and I have a theory. The nominal voltage in my region is 127V, and there is a limit variation between 116V and 133V.
BUT, I've read that in some cases there is a higher variation, reaching over 140V.
Supposing that the voltage levels in my house reach high values, this could cause the problem, right? Seeing that the power supply was projected for 115/120V.

Thenceforth, I've been using the pedal with a voltage stabilizer that have an 115V output, and it's working (at least for now, I hope it will definitely solve the problem).
The bad thing is carry this stuff around.

Does all this make sense?

Re: Twin Tube Classic - SFX-03 - Problem

Oh yes, it makes quite a bit of sense. Voltage fluctuations like that can do all sorts of weird things.

Re: Twin Tube Classic - SFX-03 - Problem

Bad news,

It did it again =(
Even with the voltage stabilizer.

I'll send it to an electronics technical for repairs. :/
I hope they can solve this.
This Twin Tube have a sentimental value for me (personal reasons), so I'm afraid. :/

Thank you so much, guys!

It's very important to only use the factory included ac adapter. (352101-015)
