Twin Tube

Anyone use this pedal. I am thinking of getting one. A little pricey but if it does what I want it will be worth it. I Like the sound of my amp clean but not distortion. Want to overdrive my clean channel. Seems the controls affect the bass and treble without adding alot to the mids which I like. Any thoughts. Thanks

Re: Twin Tube

Ya know, I got a TTC right after they came out, used it for a bit then packed it up...I recently got it back out and was amazed by how good it sounds!

It's just a killer unit...it's like adding 2 more channels to your amp, both with killer tone! It adds a lot of flexiability to a single channel amp for sure.

Re: Twin Tube

It is a great pedal and sounded great with everything except my Boogie Mark IV. It does not got used too much these days, but it is still a keeper.

i have one for sale HERE

I say it is great for classic rock.you can get some great santana-ish sounds from it.If you have a clean fender amp and want to pull off "venus isle" type lead sounds this can help you get there.to use all the cliche terms i can it is very smooth warm buttery etcand that is only the lead channel.im selling mine to try the mayhem as i wouldnt have room for both on my board.

the rhythm channel doesnt get enough discussion on most boards.some people on TGP have posted about it.it cleans up REALLY NICE and works great as a clean boost or tube limiter.i have used the rhythm channel with a delay and chorus to mimic a very convincing DMM

Re: Twin Tube

I was using it front of Crate Powerblock and the pedal made it sound very tube-like. The tone was actually quite good, as long as I kept the gain conservative on the PowerBlock.
