They "used" to indicate what each position was on the diagrams and then changed them and that info is gone. It would be nice to add that back. I know I've brought that up before. And the script font can be a PITA to read sometimes. It's wiring diagram, not a NY Times Best-Selling Novel! Sheesh....LOL
If you call "all the way back" as position #1, then:
1. B
2. N/B
3. N
4. N stud coil in parallel with B screw coil
5. B screw coil
Ah, I see. Those are what I would want but they aren't in the most intuitive order.
Is there a way to make it with B and N at 1 and 5?
I don't think there is. A regular 5 way is pretty limited.
On the other hand, a 3-way, with a push-pull, will give the same functionality, while remaining intuitive. Although, I'll admit, I generally don't care for that knob sticking up while I'm playing.
(You are too kind.)
I have my JB/Jazz Tele-Gib done:
Neck
Slutbucker (parallel, for Strat quack)
Slutbucker (normal series)
Bridge (parallel, for Tele-ish spank)
Bridge
What is the best wiring you can do with this?
What he said. But if you're stuck with a standard 5-way, this is a good one:
Yup. Nice catch. That tone control won't do much. I hope someone posted this in the "bad diagrams" thread.![]()
