Two JB's (and two guitars) compared: Production JB vs. Antiquity JB

The most effective comparison is using the same guitar in my opinion.
No argument there.

However, as the title says, I wanted to see how these two JB's compared on these two guitars, really. And I still feel this comparison is better than no comparison at all. :)

2nd one sounded muddier, but I would blame that more on the guitar ( the ESP?). They would have to be in the same guitar to make a more valued judgement.

Yep. The second guitar is the LTD, and that guitar does sound fatter/darker. It may be because the bridge pickup is further back compared to the Gibson. Not much, though. In the picture it looks like it's a lot, but the saddles themselves when intonated are only like 2mm apart difference in both guitars. But that does make a difference. I know that because acoustically, the Gibson sounds darker than the LTD, actually.

I'm not in a rush to swap out the JB out of either, LOL, and I like both, so not any plans of trying out both pickups in a single guitar. Sorryyyy. :p

I recall an epic JB comparison video by a member here and he used the same guitar and signal chain for each JB.

Yeah, I remember that.

But my one redeeming factor is... he didn't play Arch Enemy, did he? :p
