Two new amps incoming next week....... Soldano

My good buddy John that is a Yamaha higher up asked me if I wanted two of the Soldano designed Yamaha T50C amps. After he said the price I couldnt say no.

So long story short I will have 2 Yamaha T50C 1x12 combo amps by early next week. The best I can tell these were deigned by Mike Soldano for Yamaha back in the early 90's. They are supposed to have a good clean channel and then a Soldanoish crunch channel.

Long story short, I am excited to have them and can't wait to try something that was designed by Mike.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Kind of remind me of a Boogie.....

wow! a blast from the past. my uncle had one of those when i was teenager. i pretty muched learned the basics on that amp. from what i remember. the cleans where beutifull. it had a real full sound to it. the gain is pretty nice too, but i was a metal head so i ran pedals through it. and it takes pedals very well. nice score. let me know if you want to get rid of one 'em.

i remember those... but i think they started coming out around 88 or 89.... freakin loud beasts!

Had one for a few years - yes, they are loud! But, I have been looking for that crunch sound ever since - A.maz.ing! Yes, cleans were very, very nice but the crunch was the closest I ever got to early King's X... I wrote to Soldano and they even answered questions and offered support - they believe that even if Yamaha janked with Soldano's specs, it still has his name on it so they want to help.

You will not be sorry - but I call "shotgun" on it if you decide to move one! LOL!!!
