Two notes captor x arrived

Just got my two notes captor x (8 ohm) in and this thing is really cool. Aside from being a pretty transparent attenuator it also has 32 DynIR cab sims with 8 different microphones and 8 different rooms, pretty nice effects including twin tracker(virtual second guitarist) very nice stereo reverb, enhancer, 5 band EQ with custom mode. For attenuation you can use it at 0 db, -20db, and _38 db. To control everything you use the downloadable remote that you can control most everything from your phone but do need a PC change the library of cabs in your captor. You can hook up to it with Bluetooth from your phone or computer or plug in to the USB slot with the PC. Very cool so far, alot to learn how but it seems really simple to control the remote. You can go direct with this in either true stereo, dual mono, or wet/dry. I got it mainly to help me record my amps to my volt but I'm going to take advantage of the attenuator and finally get to turn my amps past 1! Very solid buy they are 100 off right now at Sweetwater.

Cool!

If you plan on getting into the world of IR's, I recommend Own Hammer and Celestion Plus. Really good-sounding IR's. Very Mix-ready.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm just getting into this so I don't know where it will go but if I need more IR's I will definitely check those out.

Sweet. Just bought one of the 16 ohm ones myself, though I have to wait a week or so before it ships 'cause they're waiting on restocks. I'm hoping basic functions are easy to get the hang of and there's not much of a learning curve :p I'm the sort that much prefers "plug in & play" to endless fiddling & tweaking..

But yeah, I've wanted an attenuator of some sort for ages to use with my amps ...& a 16 ohm reactive loadbox 'cause I already have my 8 ohm 'Julius Reactive loadbox' that I bought on Reverb a few years ago for peanuts. Works/sounds great and I can hook it up with my Mooer Radar IR loader pedal for silent DI recording. No complaints..

Still it would be great having just the one box to do it all (and more). The less wires and connections the better :bigthumb:.

It's actually pretty easy to get the gang of, nothing like learning a DAW. You shouldn't have any problems it's one of the easier pieces of digital equipment that I've encountered.

That's great. I'm probably never going to get deep into any of the more niggly stuff it does anyway. Just the basics.
