These are both high quality B. Hefner Tele Bass bodies. Both are swamp ash, and both have been upgraded to one-piece bodies, and lightweight bodies (though one is much lighter than the other). Each of these was $356 new, due to the upgrades and shipping charges. Bernie's probably the biggest ****in' ***hole in the entire aftermarket guitar body industry, but he does make a damned fine product in the end.
Up first, SUPER lightweight 3.5 lb., and routed like a '51 – '54 P-Bass. All you need to do is to countersink the rear ferrule holes and drill the passage for the ground wire, then you can finish it. My asking price is $175. I have more pix available for interested people.
Up next is this 4.5 lb. body. Though it's a pound heavier than the other one, this is still a lightweight body. I was going to make this a short-scale bass, so I ordered it without neck and bridge routs. That means you can use a regular P-Bass neck and bridge on it, without having to track down the more expensive '51-style neck and bridge. I'm asking $125. I have more pix for interested parties.
Thanks!
