Two Volumes and One Tone On a Strat

As some of you are aware, I am replacing the neck pickup with a Hot Rail. Since these are hotter than the stock single coils, I was thinking the following.

Use the front volume for the Hot Rail. Use the first tone to control the volume (same 250k pot as the volume control), on the middle and bridge pickups. Then use the second tone for all three pickups.

Is this feasible?

If so, where would I find a schematic?

Thanks for any help rendered.

Re: Two Volumes and One Tone On a Strat

I'm sure it's workable, but I've not seen a schematic like this for 3 pickups. ( I have it in a 2 humbucker Yamaha).

Hey Tim; If you don't find one anyplace else, I'll make you one. Only, I've got a couple drawings in front of you. ;)

BTW - You live in the location of my favorite watering hole and live music source . . .
. . . The MillTop Tavern, over on St. George's St.

See ya around buddy.

When switching the first tone pot to a volume pot, you are suggesting having that pot control the other two pickups, correct? I want to make sure I read that correctly.

If so, I did something similar with my Washburn. It's an H-H, but the theory is the same. :)
