me, i do many, anything from the duane to looking like im into it (which i normally am). the worst is when im just listening to a killer solo and start make facial expressions, lol

I make faces when im playing similar to what i make in other places which only my girlfriend knows off. But I make em and cant stop it...lol. I think you can imagine those faces, but its not as bad as you think.

I close my eyes and tilt my head up so i'd be looking at the ceiling if my eyes were open when im doing a solo i know inside out

I usually smile a lot...

i have been known to slip into a smaller rendition of the "michael jordan tongue thing" (closed mouth, though) when i take a long-ish improvised solo... and i still havent managed to totally eliminate my infliction with a terrible case of 'wah wah' jaw ...

Taken from the extract of a beginner new to a guitar..

"I recently bought a guitar, which is a high quality USA made instrument and plugged it into an amplifier at home and then discovered faults. I picked it up with its rather flimsy handle screwed into the bridge and it snapped. I then noticed the strings were all bendy and were hard to keep still. Having got a firm grip on these wobbly strings I found that no matter how many contoured facial expressions I pulled (and I pulled everything known to man) I just could not get a solo out of it :smack:

I tried propping my foot against the cat (only thing handy for something called a monitor) but still this harmony and solo eluded me. In an act of desperation I donned a long wig, from my mums wardrobe and my sisters lycra leggings - but still only random notes and feedback ensued when I tried this and pulled even more faces and lying flat on my back. :headbang: I have spoken to friends of mine and apparently guitars are not the only instruments to suffer from this fate, one drummer has spent hundreds on something called a pro kit and it refuses to stay in tune (he has pulled a few faces as well, mostly twisted) and several singers have mentioned buying high quality microphones that emitted flat notes. Just be warned of these goods being touted as quality instruments":banghead:

My facial expression has been described as, "Dude, you like like your taking a sh*t and it's coming out sideways!!"

Now if I can only incorporate that into some lyrics....

I feel too self conscious to get into the 'zone'.... So I'm usually very serious and don't move that much. Although I smile every so often.

did not see that post of yours, but yeah probably the best guitar mag in the UK.

For me I just stare dumbly as the chicks are passing in front of me and then it all tends to go either white, red or black depending on what colour knickers they have thrown at me :saeek:
