I voted for the Gold Top, but the Birdseye is a close second. The fact that, as of this moment, each of those only have a single vote shows just what poor tastes the rest of you have.

Amber is a awesome looking guitar, but I didn't vote for it because it looks so much like Slash's guitar.
I voted the wine red one because it looks a little more unique and...personal.

Its a 71.The checking is natural.Just forty years of aging.It looks different at differing angles.

I think the peacock would have been one of the strongest contenders.

I kinda thought about my goldtop, honeyburst or wine red custom, but I got to thinking there are already the same colors that had been listed so I went with the prototype amber/rootbeer.

Speaking of her, I just got back from Man-in_moons place. Got a tusq nut and gonna put it on Amber. I had paid to have someone carve me a bone nut and they did kind of a bum job on it.

May go ahead and stick the PAF uncle Jerr gave me and a PG neck in Dixie this afternoon too.

I noticed one of those old D-Marz paf's on ebay now , its one of the old ones ( square peg) from late 70's early 80's, and beat to #@$*- the one you have is a lot nicer , and its a 44 bucks already with a couple days left, so I think i shoulda kept my mouf shut about the old dimarzio paf's- word spreads like wildfire around here.
Again, id definitely go with the PG in the bridge and the D.Marz in the neck.

all that neck/bridge crap is bunk. Gibson made a bunch of pafs back in the day and it wasnt an exact science. They just wound them all differently and threw them in the guitar.Thats part of the charm.
the PG neck will be great in the bridge, and the D-marz will work prefect in the neck- golden aged tone.
