Under construction. I just popped the chassis in and stuck the baffle board in there. I've got several clear finishing coats tomorrow. Thought I'd see how it looked.
Drilling those mounting holes made me very nervous. Screw that up, the chassis is toast. Or I'd have had to come up with Fenderish "chassis straps". Ugh!
One pic with flash, one without. The flash makes the maroon/oxblood faceplate look plum. It's actually rather dark.
P.S. Front face piece of wood is maple or something, took to the stain in darker way, has some wicked grain going on there (that's not a crappy staining job, it's the wood). This thing looks much better in person.
Final pics in a day or so.
And, with a little help from the paint program, someone requested a green faceplate....
