Uni-vibe Noodling

Re: Uni-vibe Noodling

check it out - no singing

LOL....that dude looks just like Beavis and Butthead/King of the Hill/Office Space creator Mike Judge.

If only...what a great singer James Dewar was. He would have come in with something that left a scar for sure.

And there's definitely a "Bridge of Sighs" reference in the B chord that connects the two sections!

Absolutely...he's fully half of the reason I loved Trower's '70s work so much. I can get lost in his tone.

That's a beautiful sound. The vibe and the Strat seem like they were born to go together.

Geoff, there is a new double CD version of Kossoff's 'Back Street Crawler' album out, called the Deluxe edition, and there is an outake of Koss playing alone through a Leslie in the studio. It's special.

Fantastic playing and tone wahwah, you continue to inspire me as a guitarist looking to play similar things!

I just picked this up the other day, and it's really great! Along with the Leslie Jam, the 38 minute jam of Time Away with John Martyn is incredible to listen to, solid tunes, playing, and tone on that album all around!

Thanks for that Neil, Koss' Leslie sound that started around Free At Last is one of my favourite tones in the history of guitar! I'll have to track that down. Hope you're well my friend, and enjoying Melbourne's yo-yo weather!

Thanks Corbic, I know we share similar tastes on many things, so that's a fine compliment indeed. Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment.

Here's the amp I used for this clip, the mighty little Ulbrick Firebottle 5, in this case running through my Ulbrick 1x12 extension cab which has a Celestion Gold in it. This little 5 watt amp has one EL-84, a mid 60's Mullard, and a single 12AX7, a late 50's RCA 'D' getter blackplate.
