UOA5 for WLH set

I only have the bridge WLH in my Les Paul, but with an UOA5 like yours. Still plenty bright! It is matched with a Gibson Burstbucker 2 with an A3 in the neck. :beerchug:

I just swapped out the RC A5’s for UO A5 and I’m really liking how the pickups sound now. I liked them before but my gosh they were bright. The UO A5’s seemed to take the edge off right where it was needed

What guitar do you have them in? Or what amp are you using?

Just curious because when I had the stock WLH in my SG the top end already seemed a touch rolled off.

They’re loaded in an Epi LP Standard 50’s with 500k pots running thru a fender pro reverb and a Marshall JTM 45

did your SG have 250k pots?

Still like the UOA5 better than the stock SC A5 ?

I made the switch probably about 5 years ago, so my frame of reference isn't very fresh. However, I've never felt the need to go back! BTW, 500K pots all around, Tone Control is wired up '50s style and usually at 5-7 on the dial. :fing2:

Naw, I wired it with 500k. I used it with an Orange OR50 head, a Vox AC15, a Fender Blues Deluxe, a SansAmp PSA-1 and sometimes a Zoom pedal emulation as the amp.
