UOA5 in C5 vs C8

All this UOA5 talk the last few days has peaked my interest . I just read someone say the UOA5 has rounder highs and a little more mids than the standard C5 .

The rounder highs sounds good cause I like the C5 but It can be a bit sharp on top with the brighter modern channel on my recto .

And a bump in the mids would be good too . I tried the C8 and didnt really take to it. Was too much in the mids to me and I have an alt8 in my 2nd guitar and felt they covered allot of the same ground sound wise and I rathered the Alt8 . So I dont want A8 level mids from the c5 . just a touch more width would be cool.

I ask rather than just trying cause Im in Australia so I have to pay a little extra for postage to just try mags .

I used to have a bunch of A8's in my bridge HB's; most of those have been replaced with UOA5's. It's a little warmer than an A8, and instead of being in-your-face, it's more flexible and responsive. It's got the rich dynamics of an A2, but with better output. Great magnet.
