UPDATE: Proofread This Schematic

Hey guys!

This is kind of a continuation of my first thread, "Old Pickups, New Wiring," because it involves a bit of the same question. Now though, I have an educated guess about how the wiring diagram should go. The schematic is attached below. The pickups are of a very simple but (I think) rare design; they've got three wires coming off them - red=start wrap, black=end wrap, green=ground. The rest ought to fall in to place after that. The series/parallel switch is wired the same way it would be for a single humbucker, only with the neck pickup being the north coil and the bridge pickup being the south coil. Will it work? You tell me.

Have fun! Sorry if it's messy.

Re: UPDATE: Proofread This Schematic

In series mode, the series/parallel DPDT switch appears to link the ground conductors of the two pickups. Conventionally, the hot conductor of the first pickup is connected to the ground conductor of the second.

The output terminal of the neck PU volume pot is permanently connected to ground via the push-pull switch and the ring ground between the four pots.

The phase reversal switch needs to be connected to both ends of one coil in order to work. In your diagram, as it stands, whenever the four terminals closest to the pot chassis are connected, the signal will be shunted directly to ground. i.e. A kill switch

Thanks again, Funky. The phase switch is a simple enough fix. What would you suggest I do for the series/parallel switch? Would this work?

Re: UPDATE: Proofread This Schematic

Alright, I've incorporated the series/parallel switch from that link into this new schematic.

It's even more confusing. Basically, now the neck pickup is the one on the phase switch, and the black wire has to go through the series/parallel switch before going to the phase switch. Then, the single output from the phase switch goes to the neck volume. The bridge pickup goes through the series parallel switch, then to the bridge volume. After that, both volume outputs go to the switch, then the treble and bass pots, then the jack, like before.

Bloody hell, this is confusing. I need a nap. Anyways, do you think it'll work? It looks like nothing I plan for will work wholesale, so I'll end up having to do a whole bunch of trial-and-error runs. What fun.

That 3-way slide switch isn't wired correctly relative to any 3-way I've seen before. Typically, a 3-way slide switch has contacts that work like this:

Which means your pup hot wires are never connected to anything. Instead, you'd need to wire it like this:

Note here that the center position is "off". Did you want the center to be both on?

Edit: For both to be "on", in the center, add two jumpers:
